This band needs no introduction because they are one of our favorite bands and have been featured many times on the site. However, we are still going to introduce them.

The Statues of Liberty are a three piece band out of New York City who have memorable songs and the live show that will blow you where the Pampers are. We described the band this way in a review of our first encounter with them.

"Their smorgasboard of punk, pop and meaty metal perfectly complemented the deranged expressions of Johnny Law(guitar, vocals) and the bizarre ying/yang contrast of Prince Hal and Hitomi. The former being a hulking blond/pink-haired bassist and the latter a diminutive Asian female drummer."

We caught up with the band outside Arlene's Grocery after their show in January.

This interview was ridiculous. It was one of our greatest interviews and consequently one of our worst. It was 50 minutes long and so out of this world we had no idea what to do with it. (that is why it was bad).

The interview took place back in August and we have been trying to come up with a suitable way to showcase it. The Year Long Disaster has toured Europe, done a state side tour with Motorhead, and aged about 50 years in dog years. We had weekly meetings to discuss how to tackle this.

Would we take three minute portions and animate it? Would we turn the audio into video segments? Would we re-enact this on stage with professional players? All these ideas were kicked around and eventually we settled on, cutting the audio into five parts and transcribing them. So for the next three weeks we will bring you our interview with the Year Long Disaster's Rich Mullins.

Since we are esteemed rock journalists, we always go and catch the opening act. You sometimes catch some of the best bands in the world opening up for your favorite bands. Go and support the openers you lazy fuckers.

Anyway, AC/DC hasn't toured in almost 10 years and people are excited to see who could be worthy of the opening slot. Here in America, The Answer is not well known, and some criticized AC/DC for not picking a band with some press behind them. But AC/DC knows what they are doing because they are introducing us to one of Northern Ireland's best imports, The Answer.

The Answer seamlessly mixes AC/DC blues riffs, Led Zeppelin like stage antics, and raw musical prowess like Aerosmith. They have certainly done their homework when it comes to studying the greats of Rock N' Roll. After seeing the band open for AC/DC, we sat down with lead singer, Cormac Neeson.

Vic Wettner watches wrestling religiously. He gets antsy 15 minutes prior to the start of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown. He orders the Pay Per Views and he sometimes prances around in a weenie bender pretending to be Victor H. Hemsley (VHH).

He first heard about the band Rev Theory when they provided the entrance music to Randy Orton. So he set out finding contact information for the band and we finally got the opportunity to talk to Rich Luzzi, lead singer, of the band mere hours before he took the stage at the Atlantic City stop of 2008's Jagermeister tour.

Temperedcast, a band from Seattle Washington is garnering a significant amount of press due to their no holds barred attitude, their kick ass, in your face brand of rock n roll, and their work ethic. They stayed at the Electric Factory and continued to push their record and merchandise while taking the time to meet every fan that wanted to talk to them. That is a rare attitude in this day and age of rock entitlement. Just because they are on tour with Puddle Of Mudd, doesn't mean Temperedcast isn't going to try and out work the headliner.
